The NumberCrunchers already had a strong, eye-catching logo, but the rest of their brand lacked the personality and vibrancy that matched their ethos. In a sector where most firms market themselves on services, not story, it was especially challenging to stand out, particularly for a company with such a genuine social purpose at its heart.
Howard Smith, the founder, had a clear vision and plenty of ideas but needed help translating them into communicative, engaging branding and marketing. He always believed in the power of a great brand, our job was to help him unleash it.

Brand Evolution
The toughest and most exciting challenge was injecting humour and approachability into their messaging without undermining professionalism. We avoided the usual trap of lazy marketing by blending in with other accountants. Instead, we crafted a bold visual identity, lively marketing materials, and a website that reflects what it’s actually like to work with The NumberCrunchers.
We connected the whole brand to their authentic value proposition: their belief that every client matters. The new strapline, “Where everybody counts,” captures this beautifully and brings their social purpose to the forefront.
